Life is Peace

After a very emotional draining and growing week I found myself stumbling out of work late on Thursday night beat from as long night at work and my hips hurting so bad I could cry. I met with my best friend clay and on a whim of life and all its beauty we drove together 2 hours up in the mountains to crescent lake. We found a little perch on the bank of th
e lake packed with snow and the most beautiful blanket of stars filling the sky
that I may have ever seen before. It truly was peace. Hour after hour went by of beautiful talks and laughs about life, love, and all of its happiness. The sun rose and the sky gre more and more beautiful with every minute that went by untill 9am the next morning when we came back to homeland.

It was truly one of the more beautiful and peaceful nights of my life. Happy the next day when I woke up to realize and remember that life really does make sense and is continuously so beautiful and fun. Peace.

money well spent.....

I work my butt off for my money.....and recently I have learned through a financial advisor how to better manage and save my money because for the past several years, well, lets just say I havn't done a very good job at it.  I was born with severe rhemitoid arthritis and was in a wheelchair at a very young age.  Around the age of 15 a "miracle drug" came out and essentially saved my life.  It is an injection shot that I have to give myself in the stomach once a day and it has made me a fully functioning and walking person today, at the age of 23.....well long story short the catch is....it costs $1,300 a month! as well as several visits to several specialist doctors a month and to say the least it gets expensive.  After time I feel like I w
ork my butt off to spend all my money on medical stuff and it drives me crazy.  So this weekend I spoiled myself.  I feel great about it!!!!
I spent all day Thursday with my dear friend Cassy......beginning with a lovely breakfast and coffee at Keystone....then, we fell into a beautiful shopping spree.
First I got myself a Jacqui Chazen watch at the Juice and I'm in love!!!,

This isn't the exact one that I got(i like mine much better) but this is the closest I could find on their website (which you must check out more www.jacquichazendesigns.com)

Next we made our way over to Miss Meers, a great little shoe store here in Eugene where a found a GREAT new pair of brown Sam Edelman huarache sandel/wedge!

Then I continued home where I went online and pu
rchased not one but 2 Juicy velour suits which should be here in the mail this comming week.
Point being.....I feel great that I finally got to spend my hard earned money on myself in a fashion sense, not in just keeping me walking via a injection.  I may be broke as a joke now, but I am back to work tomorrow and I feel great!

Dandelions.....is peace.

I can't explain how beautiful and truly remarkable dandelions are to me. They are a symbolism of so many things to me....two main things being freedom...freedom of flight and independent and chasing or flaoting away really to the place and the things you desire and are meant to be at or due. This symbolizes my life so much right now.....just trying to remind myself to be a dandelion and do whats best for me at the end of the day. The other thing is represents to me is wishes.....which I imagine ties so much into the previous thing. Make wishes. believe in your wishes. My your wishes and dreams a reality. follow those wishes untill they become a reality. And that, and dandelions, to me is PEACE
.

a beautiful night..

I am still high from what could have been one of the greatest nights of my adult life. Last night was my dear friend Bunnys birthday and there was a nice little party for him at a friends house packed full of all my beautiful friends and talented musicians.  Naima and I spent the day writing bunny a birthday song and got to play it for him twice....a friend fortunatly took a video of the first private showing outside...... It just feels so beautiful to make someone so happy that they cry on their birthday....it truly was so beautiful, and I am so blessed to have such a great family of friends around me.

a beautiful movie....

My dear Cassy reminded me lately of my two favorite movies that i havn't watched in awhile. Before Sunrise and Before sunset. I am lucky to own both and have taken some of my free time lately to fall in love with those two beautiful movies once again.  However recently I have discovered such a beautiful new(well new to me) movie called Once.  It is a low budget Irish film with such a beautiful simplistic story to it. I encourage everyone to watch it, and if you have already seen it....watch it again. I swear it feels better to me the more i watch it. It's such an increadible tale of  friendship really... but love, and obvious attraction. Also the two main characters in it actually did write all the beautiful music in it and truly sang each and every song together. I know have the soundtrack CD and listen to it religiously. It's so beautiful.

i love you project

I found a beautiful little box packed with 4o different post cards that say I love you in 40 different beautifully creative ways. It's essentially my good dead of the day or the week if you will. I sat and made a list of 39 people in my life that i felt needed or deserved a I love you reminder from me. Times are tuff these days, economy is whack, its the end of the winter and people are longing for that sun and clarity and peace again.....and I don't know about you but if i randomly got a postcard in the mail saying i love you......you would be sure to see a big smile on my face for awhile. My first card went to my sweet beautiful friend JJ. i wrote my second one today and am walking it out to the mailbox now....
I'm so excited to bring more love to 40 wonderful people.

my little treehouse of plants and love.

I have officially come to terms that I have a plant shopping/redecorating problem. Today was sunny....I woke this morning and made myself my favorite little egg scramble with tempeh, peppers, garlic, tamari, siracha hot sauce and Avocado, poured a delightful glass of my own little fresh squeezed OJ and nestled into my new little "room" in the corner of my bedroom that I spent last night creating by sectioning off a corner of my room with plants. Yes plants. I found a way to make a room divider essentially with a combination of hanging plants from the ceiling coming down into a wall of tall floor plants.....i covered my new little area with amazing colorful floor pillows and its lovely. I sit there this morning with my scramble and OJ....and I decide my good of the day today was to go save a plant from a store somewhere that wasn't treating it the way it should, instead of heading to my usual Greys plant store where my sweet little gay plant specialist Jeff treats a huge greenhouse full of house plants like his own children. Not today . I went to Home Depot where I found a whole world full of sweet innocent plants on steroids. I'm talking plants that are huge and beautiful.....and hundreds of them. I picked up the first one my eyes ran towards. My most favorite trusty house plant,a chiflera. I looked at the price expecting no less than a $60 price tag on it based on the size of this thing. Instead I read $7.50. Long story short i bought a few....maybe a few to many. A couple of all different kinds. I'm getting a bit off track here but I have to just take a moment to tell you about the nightmare i saw when I went to re pot these poor little guys at home. these things are so root bound its unbelievable...the only way these plants can possibly still be living is from so many plant steroids its unreal. It's terrible. It made me want to go back and save them all. i It will be a major challenge for me to keep these guys alive while slowly weening them off plant stimulator's and steroids.
Okay, back to my point. My new little plant walled cozy corner of my room in incredible with the addition of my new sweet friends. However at the end of this all i went through and counted my house plants in this little tree house of mine.....and much to my surprise the final tally was 47. I have a problem. I've got to get this under control. But at the end of the day here I am nestled into my lovely little corner again with all my sweet plants.always,
